Welcome to FURNITURE TREE Auckland

Painted Fibreboard and Foil Veneer Furniture

Mop up liquid spills as soon as they occur as joins and unsealed ends are ideal spots for water to be absorbed into the timber which leads to delamination of the paint and foil veneer.

The surface may be wiped with clean soapy water or proprietary cleaners such as ‘Handy Andy' or ‘Multi' can be used, however do not leave concentrated amounts of these cleaners on the surface for extended periods.

Abrasive cleaners are not recommended as these will wear into the surface and leave a mark.

Do not use strong solvents. Methylated spirits may be used with discretion, however, as a general rule it is best to assume solvents and painted or foil veneer surfaces do not mix.

Do not use sharp objects on the surface.   As the paint or foil veneer is only a thin film of resin over the fibreboard, your furniture is not intended to withstand use as a craft cutting board!
